HYDERABAD: Giving credit to K Chandrasekhar Rao for convincing the
Congress to carve out Telangana state in 2014, former Union finance
minister P Chidambaram said the Telangana chief minister, however, has
failed to deliver the goods and left behind a humongous 2.20 lakh crore
debt on the people.
“KCR borrowed and spent hugely. He is now leaving behind a legacy of
2.20 lakh crore debts. If it was a company with such debts, it will be up for
insolvency,” Chidambaram said, teasing the CM at a media conference
here on Wednesday. Chidambaram said he expected KCR to deliver a
‘better government’.
